We wrote a few days ago when the announcement that the Obama regime would give 20 F-35 jets to Israel in exchange for a West Bank building freeze that would-or-would not include East Jerusalem that it was a good thing it was coming in writing. Oops.

clip_image002

Fooled ya!

The “oops” is not on my part, though. Turns out that Hillary “Slick Willied” Bibi. Arutz Sheva reported that Bibi was surprised when Hillary returned and reneged on the deal. No jets, no written promises. She said that it was understood that she was not speaking for President Obama, and of course we...

“Indeed, there is little reason to believe that these US-trained forces will not join forces with Hamas and turn their guns on Israel in the future. Since 1996, PA security services have taken a leading role in the terror war against Israel.”

PA Policemen in the West Bank

“As [OC Central Command Maj.-Gen. Avi Mizrahi] put it, “This is a well trained force, better equipped than its predecessors and trained by the US. The significance of this is that at the start of a new battle [with the Palestinians] the price that we will pay will be higher. A force like this one can shut down...

K.T. McFarland has it right. Put the search for bombs after the profiling for bombers.

Why do Americans have to take off their shoes, get invasive pat downs, get the nekkid x-ray, etc. and the Israeli security doesn’t need it?

FIRST OF ALL, I think the whole issue is nuts. Go through the scanner. If it gets the viewer off, so be it. Cheap thrill.

We need to do what the Israelis do – PROFILE THE PASSENGER!

Sure we need to keep the sniffers, etc. but the whole idea is that there are great ways to profile a traveler.

Three year old crying little girls are not the threat nearly as much as certain others. Behaviour, race, location of origin, etc. are much better than some blue-gloved patter.

Here is another who agrees:

The talking heads are abuzz wondering who will replace Mossad Chief Meir Dagan. Seems everyone is talking but Bibi. He’ll soon speak and the agency will have a new leader.

clip_image002

Meir Dagan of Mossad

Unlike Yossi Cumi, the fictional head of Mossad, he doesn’t flit around in his own Falcon 7X, and have lots of the beautiful people whisper in his ear about the latest stuff. Meir Dagan is not photogenic, doesn’t look like the merchant of death, and yet his time as Mossad’s chief has been good for the nation and good for the agency.

Haaretz often publishes stories that...

It’s true. The US will give the Palestinian Authority another $150 million to get them to sit down with the Israelis.

clip_image002

Bibi – Clinton – Abbas

The idea is, of course, to keep both sides talking. But all the goodness is going to the stubborn Arabs, and not to Israel.

Well, let me rephrase that: the Arabs won’t agree to talks unless they keep getting things they want. This time it’s more money in their pockets. You can rest assured it won’t TRICKLE DOWN to the poorest Arabs on the streets!

But all is not just for the Arabs. Apparently Obama...

In the United States it is Thanksgiving Day. A day when many families get together for a shared meal, shared memories and stories from the old folks; maybe a college football game and good times.

The photo above was taken on Grandma Crabtree’s birthday the year I discovered her secret that she came from Jewish lineage. She was 93 that year, and passed six years later while I was living in Israel.

When she and Grandpa were with us we would all meet at their house in Roodhouse for...

So I have this warped sense of humor at times! I read this headline about a couple drugging their daughter to get her out of Israel.

clip_image002

I wonder about this friend.

We co-host, lecture and accompany a number of tours in Israel. So many pastor friends that love Israel bring their groups to the Holy Land, and we almost always get a laugh out of them when they say something like, “Oh, man! You have the best life. I wish I could move over here when I retire!”

I have to admit that the headline brought to mind quite a few of these men of dignity, position,...

That is essentially what is happening in Israel on parcels.

The post office system in the US is a serial loser. This year it apparently lost about $8 Billion. Like Amtrak it seems one of those government programs that should have gone to privatization long ago.

In Israel, alas, that did not cure the headaches. One of the post offices we frequented in Arnona was hired out to a private operator. In a primarily Orthodox neighborhood it was operated by two Arab youths. That made for some interesting exchanges, as I can testify.

Now comes the news that...

IT AIN’T NEWS! Recently Mahmoud Abbas told the world that the Palestinians were “free to break agreements. Oh. Ho hum. Not news.

clip_image001

Mahmoud Abbas

For years, under his predecessor, Yasser Arafat, the PLO/PA/Fatah terrorist group came out with all kinds of statements. The only way you could tell they were lying is when you saw their lips moving.

Now Abbas is saying that because the Israelis decided that the old Palestinian program of claiming that everything discussed was considered agreed to in the next round of talks was off the table, the Palestinians...

Okay, I admit it. I am not a great fan of Esquire magazine. Maybe I’m just not classy enough. But they ran an article that grabbed me recently.

Biden and Barry

The idea in their short piece was, in essence, that he has lost his “bling.” Okay, that’s a word that has come up lately. I don’t really get that either, but apparently it means that the golden one has gathered a lot of tarnish.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see his financier-in-charge, George Soros, drop him from his Christmas card list this year.

A lot of people are still in there swinging...
