We’ve written before about the Kurdish people and their fight for autonomy. The map above will show you Kurdish lands covering parts of five nations, Turkey, Armenia, Iran, Syria and Iraq.

Various writers have already named it Kurdistan, though I can assure you that if ever such a nation is really formed it will not have this much territory.

Now comes AP reports that “A Kurdish militia in northern Syria plans to become autonomous from Damascus in the coming days, after months of administering the border territory without Assad forces, Turkish media reported on Wednesday.

Sanctions are supposed imposed on Iran to stifle their economy enough to get them to surrender their nuclear program. There are reports that the civilians are suffering from them while the mullahs and big shots in the military and government are eating high on the hog. Well, maybe not on the hog.

Now comes word from the folks at The Israel Project that Europe is working to chop their sanction agreements and allow their businesses to return to doing business. My guess is that phrase would have been better written “openly doing business,” but that’s just me.

Anthony Weiner admits to texting photos of his genitalia. The Mayor of San Diego is under investigation. New York’s Bloomberg wants to ban your Big Gulp, salt and a host of other things but says nothing about homosexuality or dirty needles and Aids.

Now we hear that Bibi has agreed to free at least 100 prisoners from Israeli jails as well as limit home building in any West Bank or East Jerusalem areas.

Are there any real politicians who have conservative, moral ideals or all of them like Senator Nancy Pelosi, who recently called her stance for all abortions a moral decision? All this before the Palestinians have done anything except raise the number of preconditions before they will even discuss talks.

As usual the European Union is dancing to Muslim pressure and has chosen to bar Israeli imported goods with any ties to the West Bank, the Golan Heights or East Jerusalem. They are trying to please their Arab citizens, play nice with the Palestinians and spit just a bit on Israel.

If the EU wants to take a cleaver to these goods in their markets, then one must ask what will be the repercussions?

The author of the Ynet piece noted that Israel is a key investor in several of the EU's showcase research and development programs – 600 million Euros in the...

You’ve seen the movies. You’ve probably seen them in real life. The SWAT teams. Why there was even a television show and a movie named SWAT.

But in our personal opinion there’s something almost sinister about having so many swat teams with their machine guns and armored cars abounding in the United States.

In a day when normal soldiers are not even allowed to carry their weapons on a military base, as witnessed during the Ft. Hood massacre, what’s with all the wannabe soldiers in police forces?

For a while I thought perhaps I was just...

You should pity poor (well not really) John Kerry. He wants to much to be the man who got the Palestinians and the Israelis back to the negotiating table.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is doing his part. He keeps saying that Israel is ready at a moment’s notice.

Tzipi Livni is almost slobbering. She hasn’t been anything but inconsequential since she was Foreign Minister under Ehud Olmert’s administration, and you likely know that that didn’t turn out so well.

Lately Kerry has been grinning widely and telling everyone who will listen that...

Do you read body language as I do? Take a look at the photo. Kerry is leaning forward in what seems an attempt to convince the President-for-life Mahmoud Abbas of something.

Abbas, for his part is all splayed out like a cat on a couch. He has a malignant look on his face that signals he ain’t buying.

And what is the problem? Abbas likes the attention but he is not the man to clean up the terrible corruption in his PA government.

He knows that IF EVER the PA is granted real statehood he will have to produce. Just as Arafat before...

We thought you might be interested in some commentary on Egypt’s recent changes.

The following is an op-ed piece we found in Israeli media. We felt it deserved some of our thoughts and offer them in the [ ] we usually use.

Elliott Abrams, National Review: "The removal of an elected president by the army is a coup. ... It was not, however, something that came out of thin air. It was the product of misconduct on the part of President Mohammed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. He and the Brotherhood knew full well that they had lost...

Screengrab from Ynetnews.com

Imagine our shock when we came across this advertisement on Ynetnews.com.

There are some advertisements, like the one on a giant billboard a year or so ago, placed there by a Messianic Jewish congregation in Israel. That one had so many Israelis furious that we assume it hit a nerve.

Here is the text of the ad from the photo on Ynet:

This is a You Tube video of a Temple Mount preacher from recent days.

And I remind you that Israel protects this kind of thing. He did not mention Israel directly because of course they actually pay him for this kind of nonsense.

Not incitement, of course.
