IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz testified before the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee last week.

The Times of Israel Editor in Chief David Horovitz wrote that he got mixed reviews. Many of the ministers seem to feel that his $17 billion dollar budget us more than enough. Others think that the nearly 25% of Israel’s entire budget could use more to the IDF.

Whether that is true or not, Gantz cancelled some training and told his audience that he believes the army needs more money.

There are many who think that Israel is not in...

Avi Issacharoff is no neophyte. He understands the dangers of reporting in Israel and the West Bank Arab areas. He is one of the go-to guys if you want to understand events in both areas.

And recently he was nearly killed after he was “warned off” by Palestinian journalists and when he refused to leave, they set a gang of thugs on him. He tells his story below:

BEITUNIA, West Bank — I found myself seconds away from being beaten to death by a mob of Palestinian masked men during clashes in the West Bank town...

When you speak Bill Maher’s name to a conservative there is a certain amount of gag reflex.

But there is also a recent trend by him to start standing up to radical Islam.

If you want a great illustration, then check out this video. Also notice who he has sitting to his left on the set.

Mahar hasn’t won the Conservative of the Year award by any standard, but fair is fair and when he withstands some of the people on this clip, I think you will be surprised. He’s a long way from mainstream, but don’t tell him he’s inching right. He may stop. (grin)

When you discuss the three lands in our title, you better have a series of maps, because the lines may have changed since your last one was printed.

In our briefings we show six dating from 1922 until now and they differ greatly. Now the INSS has published a briefing on the challenges of Jordan and Israel in keeping the rhetoric at a reasonable level.

We bring it to you here without our comments:

Most of us are in a hurry. We rush from one “important” thing on our To Do list to another.

I hesitated to put this video up because it is ten minutes long. But I fervently believe this video by Dennis Prager is time well spent.

The problem with it is that he states the reason for our troubles as a nation, but then we are left with what to do about it.

You cannot trust your government to tell you how to build a patriotic next generation or influence this one. All you need do is watch them feather their own nests to know that.

You cannot trust the public schools and universities. They have been part...

Gen. (Rsv) Zvika Fogel is a man not known for holding back his opinions. And when it comes to terrorists and Gaza he is an expert. I first met him near the Gaza border when he gave a briefing on events in the region.

As he and I drove in his Chevy to the Egyptian-Gaza with Israel we discussed lots of things, including his stint at Ft. Sill, OK, where he underwent some artillery and armor training. He is a fun man to know on a personal basis.

When he wrote the following piece, I could hear the tone as he voiced his reluctance to turn terrorists loose as part of...

If you wanted to picture antagonists, this photo could sure do it. Three Prime Ministers of Israel, though Peres held the post twice without winning one election to the job: Netanyahu has his own way of looking at today’s conservatives in Israel. That alienates virtually everyone on both sides of the political spectrum.

Ari Sharon, the general who wasn’t insane, but who was certainly a carried. He drove his military superiors mad during both the Six Day War and the Yom Kippur War. As Prime Minister he named Bibi Finance Minister, but the two could barely stand to be in the...

When we wrote To Trap a Traitor the idea was that Israelis can also get caught up in the rush to riches by beating the sanctions against Iran.

Today The Times of Israel came out with the report of a man who was arrested for just that. Here is part of that item:

“An Israeli man was arrested at Ben-Gurion Airport Monday and is expected to be extradited to the US where he has been charged with selling arms — including spare parts for fighter jets — to...

I’m often involved with reports on how what is happening in the US affects world events. Right now it seems that the DC disengagement from reality is impacting China and Russia as they team up to challenge the Far East, Russia as it begins to reassert itself in Eastern Europe, and South America and Mexico as they basically ignore their northern neighbor.

No one really takes Obama seriously in foreign capitals. Why is that?

Because the President and his followers have been immunized from media accountability and even legal accountability. The Main Stream...

“Just last year, a Colorado high school principal defended his decision to allow high school students at Rocky Mountain High School to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic — “one nation under Allah.”

Buried deep in an article about Sharia schooling, the above quote should enrage Americans.

It comes from, and the piece tells of how the Islamic encroachment is taking place not only in Europe but also in the United States.

Rather than rehash the article, we’ve shared it with you:

Endless concessions and...
