Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has had enough with the Jerusalem Mufti Hussein!

On the 20th we ran an article about the Mufti, chief religious leader in Israel, West Bank, etc. and his comments about killing the Jews.

Now Netanyahu has ordered the Attorney General, Yehuda Weinstein to investigate whether the Mufti is guilty of incitement, or at least if there is enough evidence to indict him for it.

Already Hussein has hit the media outlets with a statement saying, like Mad Magazine’s Alfred E. Newman’s “WHO ME?!”

More precisely, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein denied inciting the murder of Jews, saying he was just quoting the Islamic text. "I can't change the Hadith," he added.

So wait a minute! Let’s see if I have this correctly.

The Sheik is saying that his peaceful religion has revered texts that call for the murder of Jews, but that he as a religious leader who quoted that to crowds of Arabs who listen to his every statement similarly to Catholics heeding the Pope.

Now that Bibi has called him to accountability Hussein says that I didn’t mean for them to take me literally.

What will happen? Most likely nothing.

Hussein will back down, but not broadcast an apology in Arabic that would blanket the land saying that Arabs should not kill Jews after all. Like Arafat there is one statement in English and an opposite one in Arabic.

Bibi will not get his prosecution because to do so would be to incite more riots, stone throwing and the like.

Hussein wins. He told his followers to kill Jews. The Israeli citizen loses.
