Let’s hear it for the Border Police – again. These stalwart defenders of Israel’s people serve under some very difficult conditions.
One point on the terrorist tools discovered in the bag: - the pistol has had the slide removed, a barrel taped to the grip, and is likely more dangerous to the shooter than the target!
Pipe bombs were discovered in the bag also. Who knows how bad this could have been.
Israel HaYom article explains it all:

Israeli Border Police thwarted a terror attack in Samaria on Saturday when they arrested two suspected terrorists armed who turned out to be armed with pipe bombs, a pistol and knives.
The two Palestinians, both 20 years old, aroused suspicion when they emerged from a taxi near the Tapuach Junction carrying a large bag. Police called on the two to stop, but when they began to flee, police surrounded and arrested them. The bag carried by one of the suspects was found to contain a pistol, four pipe bombs, various knives and ammunition.
A defense official said it seemed the two had planned to carry out an attack at a bus stop in the area on Saturday night. Another possibility being investigated is that the two were delivering weapons to terrorists within Israel.
Border Police explosives experts neutralized the pipe bombs while the two suspects were questioned by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet).
Border Police Company Commander Chief Superintendent Avi Biton praised his officers' vigilance. Biton said that the pipe bombs could have caused significant damage had they been planted at bus stops on Saturday night.
