Not long after I visited the Eshkol Regional Council area to report on rockets falling on their kibbutz that sits close to the Gaza border fence, a farmer was sniped.

Exactly. Fired at by a rifleman who tried to kill him while he was farming the kibbutz’s land. He was forced to get off, hide behind one of the large wheels until he could summon IDF troops to fire back at the sniper across the Gaza border.

Then a week or so ago nearly 60 rockets were fired from Gaza into the same area by Hamas.

Okay, a doubter says, “How do I know it was Hamas?” How does anyone know? By the paint on the rockets and manufacturing details.

Green, brown, rust. Hamas, Islamic Jihad, regular dirtballs of no heritage. All kill when they land on or near someone.

This instance was the first time Hamas has done much rocketing lately. It coincided with attacks on construction workers who were attacked by terrorists who crossed the Sinai border and killed a man from Haifa.

Things are heating up. In fact, the IDF is hauling more tanks to areas near Gaza. That bodes no good for the terrorists.

Stay tuned.
