Politics is not a nice game but it is certainly interesting. I was inoculated with the love of it at my grandfather’s kitchen table and it’s never gone away.

Who will win the upcoming US Presidential election? I certainly don’t know. I’m the guy who thought that Clinton could never win re-election with all the scandals on his watch, but who knew?

Now we have the drubbing of American free enterprise, the Russia-fication of American government and the disfunction of government. Can Obama still win?

There may be a trend that is more telling than any Rasmussen poll. The “blood in the water” movement that causes former supporters to want to hit the beach rather than get eaten by the sharks.

Here’s what I mean. Read the following:

“Another key group, Jews, also are bailing in droves. A June poll by Gallup showed the president down 10 points to 64 percent — he took three-quarters of the vote in 2008.

“Obama’s current support is the lowest percentage for any Democrat since Jimmy Carter,” the Jerusalem Post wrote. “The average Jewish vote for a Democrat is 71%, so his support is significantly below average. In fact, the last two Democrats to receive less than 70% of the Jewish vote — [Michael] Dukakis and Mondale — both lost.” (No wonder Mr. Romneyis planning a trip to Israel, a place Mr. Obama has never gone as president, nor even has Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.)”

Joseph Curl in the Washington Times (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/jul/8/curl-whos-bailing-on-obama-just-about-everybody/)

On top of this news is the fact that no less than 20% of Obama’s black supporters in the last presidential election are not so taken with him this time around. Jobs, lies, or whatever, those who were thought to be in his pocket may now be hitting the road.
