So I have this warped sense of humor at times! I read this headline about a couple drugging their daughter to get her out of Israel.
I wonder about this friend.
We co-host, lecture and accompany a number of tours in Israel. So many pastor friends that love Israel bring their groups to the Holy Land, and we almost always get a laugh out of them when they say something like, “Oh, man! You have the best life. I wish I could move over here when I retire!”
I have to admit that the headline brought to mind quite a few of these men of dignity, position, eloquence and influence. Would someone call me to drug them and stick them on a flight back to the US someday? It is hilarious, because it is not likely, even though the plight of the poor girl who was the victim in real life is anything but funny.
So, Pastor, let me tell you ahead of time – this is not retirement and kicking back beside the Jaffe Gate. We work as hard or harder than at any time in our lives. But you are welcome to come on over and find yourself a flat.
