Who Killed Cock Robin

Opposing them is a varied crew of terrorists, including Osama’s daughter, Hezbollah hit teams and a wide variety of crooks in the US and Israel.

NOW… there is a real-time mystery about a hit in Dubai, rooted in Syria, Lebanon, Britain, Ireland and – get this – seven immigrants to Israel.

It’s a great story, and so we divert our normal news to cover this one item! (Jake’s guys should be so blessed as to have this one!)

2/16/2010 - Taking Down Hamas Terrorists - Who dunnit?

Now consider this from my childhood…

"Who killed Cock Robin?" "I," said the Sparrow,
"With my bow and arrow, I killed Cock Robin."
"Who saw him die?" "I," said the Fly,
"With my little eye, I saw him die."
"Who caught his blood?" "I," said the Fish,
"With my little dish, I caught his blood."
"Who'll make the shroud?" "I," said the Beetle,
"With my thread and needle, I'll make the shroud."
"Who'll dig his grave?" "I," said the Owl,
"With my pick and shovel, I'll dig his grave."…

ON JANUARY 20, Mahmoud Mabhouh, was found dead in his Dubai hotel room. Mabhouh’s bio spells out the fact that he was a very bad guy and, if anyone deserved to get hit “with prejudice” it was he.

Dubai sources say that he was “electrocuted and then strangled.” The electrocuted is likely a reference to his getting tasered. The strangling is simple; choked out.

Internet sources supply the following about the dead guy:

“According to Hajj Maher Oueid, head of Ansar Allah, an Islamist faction close to Hezbollah, Mabhouh fled the Occupied Territories years ago to escape the Israeli intelligence services and settled in Syria. Nevertheless, Hamas claims that Israel tried but failed to kill Mabhouh three months ago.

“Mabhouh was one of the co-founders of Hamas’ military wing and had a long history of action against both Israel and Palestinians,” said Dr. Magnus Ranstorp, research director at the Center for Asymmetric Threat Studies at the Swedish National Defense College.” (

I direct your attention to the phrase, “Mabhouh was one of the co-founders of Hamas’ military wing and had a long history of action against both Israel and Palestinians,…”

The DB was Hamas. That is, of course, the rabid Gaza-based gophers trained, run, funded and sometimes led by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

Said Guard is also rumored to be about to take control of Iran away from the hairy, turbaned mullahs that are in power today.

The fact that he operates against Palestinians refers to battling Fatah. That is the terrorist/political group that was run by The Ugly One, Yasser Arafat until he assumed room temperature. His replacement, Mahmoud Abbas, is literally threatened body and soul by Hamas. It’s no secret that they aided Israel during last year’s Operation Cast Lead when the IDF entered Gaza and killed hundreds of Hamas fighters.

Abbas’ cooperation was pay-back for the fact that Hamas killed some, beat many and ran the rest of the Palestinian “security forces” out of Gaza. That was 2007. Things have only gotten worse since then.

“He is believed to have been involved in the abduction and murder of two Israelis soldiers in 1989, Ilan Sa'adon and Avi Sasportas, and he also killed some Palestinians during the First Intifada,” Ranstorp told NOW.

“Mabhouh played a key military role in Gaza until his departure to Syria. He was then in charge of supplying the party with weapons and financing, said a Palestinian source who spoke to NOW on condition of anonymity. According to media reports, he also attempted to smuggle truckloads of weapons into Gaza through Sudan in 2009. The convoy, however, was bombed by the Israeli Air Force before it left Africa.

“Ranstorp also said that Mabhouh served as a liaison officer between Iran and Hezbollah, with whom he had strong ties, and occupied a central role in Gaza-Iranian relations. “He was a Mugniyah-like figure, as he had a senior operational role over the last 20 years and, more importantly, forged a closer operational link to Iranian intelligence and al-Quds units [the intelligence arm of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps],” Ranstorp said. “He had contact with Hezbollah directly and through Osama Hamdan, who was previously Hamas’ representative to Iran, [and is now the group’s point man in Lebanon].”

“Mabhouh, one of the founders of Hamas’s military wing, Izzadin Kassam, was found dead on January 20 in his hotel room a day after he landed in Dubai. Faik Mabhouh, the victim’s brother, told the Times, that Mahmoud Mabhouh was electrocuted and then strangled.

“In a statement, the Dubai government said that the initial investigations showed the crime was likely committed by a “professional criminal gang” and that the perpetrators had left the country. UAE authorities, as quoted by the National, suspected the involvement of the Mossad, Israel’s intelligence agency, while Hamas directly accused the Israeli government of the crime.
“This is not the first political assassination perpetrated by the Israelis on Arab soil,” said Mounir Maqdah, commander of Fatah’s military wing in the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian camp in South Lebanon.

“Indeed, over the years, Israel was allegedly involved in the deaths of a number of “terrorist group leaders” inside the Arab world, from the 1973 killing of Kamal Adwan, the PLO's chief of operations, and PLO veteran Mohamad Youssef Najjar, in Verdun, Beirut, to the killing of Izzadin al-Sheikh Khalil, one of the founders of Izzadin Kassam, in a car bombing in Damascus in 2004. Ironically, the latter was replaced by Mabhouh.”

When the Lebanese site says Israel, they mean Mossad. The Institute. Israel’s spy organization that is the counterpart of the US Central Intelligence Agency. Nowadays, Mossad is more on the ball and less political than the CIA. (Leon Panetta is the current Director, Clinton’s former Chief of Staff. Enough said?)

The very word Mossad sends chills down the spine of Arabs the world over. They have had some stumbles like getting caught in Jordan trying to poison Hamas’ Mashaal. More successes than failures mean that it is a force to be reckoned with.

Rumors say that disappearances, turning Iranian generals, assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists, etc. have slowed the program in Iran by years. In fact last month an Egyptian newspaper called Mossad’s real Director, Meir Dagan, Israel’s Superman! I remind you that nothing gets printed in Egypt’s papers without the approval of President Mubarak.

Hamas and Hezbollah, Syria and Iran are not Egypt’s friends. They don’t like Israel much, but they hate Iran and its pit bulls.

Dubai’s police/security forces have video from the hotel where he was killed. It shows a group (so far numbering eleven people) that they are sure are involved.

ISRAEL OLIM (Olim are immigrants to Israel)

False passports show they came from everyplace but Israel, but – listen – seven of the names are the same as Jews who have moved to Israel to become citizens.

This is hilarious either way it turns out.

At the end of this is a J-Post story about one of the folks whose name was used.

At first glance, it would be idiotic for Mossad to use the names of Israel’s immigrants. That would seem to point to Israel as the directors of the operation to kill the terrorist.

Ah, but in the world of intelligence there is the obvious, then a mirror-image of the obvious. In other words, if the Mossad wanted to give denial to its op, what better way to use Israeli olim names, then point to them and say, “it would not use Israeli names” and then have used them to deflect the blame.

If Fatah, Egypt and others (Jordan? Saudi Arabia? All of which hate Hamas and Iran) pulled off the hit, then they could also have used Israeli names. They know that Mossad is more recognizable and feared than their own intel groups.

There are seventeen different security organizations that answer to Egypt’s President Mubarak. Jordan’s primary intelligence organization, Dairat al Mukhabarat, or General Intelligence Department (GID) is virtually on the same par as Mossad, but not everyone has the PR that Mossad and the US Marine Corps has. Those two groups seem always to get the ink!

A preacher friend who is now with the Lord once said about the TV show “Dallas” when JR was shot, “Everyone wants to know who shot JR. I don’t care, I’m just glad he’s dead!”

The late comedian Jerry Clower’s famous question was, “How can you kill a rat wrong?”

We don’t know if Mossad, GID or the Girl Scouts whacked Mabhouh. We just know that the world’s decency numbers went up when he went down.

For the squeamish or the shocked that I would say such a thing, let me tell you that killing terrorists saves lives. Just as a military or SWAT sniper hitting a target is not murder but a form of life saving, intelligence agencies that hunt down terrorists around the world and kill them is as good a thing as calling Terminex.

Mildiner: I woke up a 'murderer'

One of 7 olim whose identities were allegedly used in Dubai speaks to 'Post'.

Melvyn Adam Mildiner, who made aliya from London nine years ago, went to bed on Monday night suffering from what he said was pneumonia.

When he woke up the following morning, Mildiner said, he was stunned to discover that one of the members of an alleged hit squad who assassinated senior Hamas operative Mahmoud Mabhouh in a Dubai hotel last month went under an alias which was identical to his name.

“I have no idea how to clear my name. Interpol has a warrant out for my arrest. I don’t know how I will travel. I went to bed with pneumonia and woke up a ‘murderer,’” Mildiner told The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday.

What began as a trickle of e-mails and calls quickly turned into a flood of incessant phone calls from the media on Tuesday, Mildiner added. Mildiner, 31, who lives with his wife in a town near Jerusalem, said the entire episode “came out of the blue.”

“First, clearly it isn’t me. It doesn’t look like me. The details are not correct [in the UK passport publicized by Dubai Police as allegedly being used by the hit squad member]. The date of birth is wrong. I’ve never been to Dubai. Someone, somewhere decided to use my identity for something,” Mildiner said. “I am seeking legal advice and looking into how I could clear my name. I don’t know to proceed. I’ve had offers to be on every television show, including some I’ve never heard of. I’m waiting to hear from my lawyer.”

“We don’t know for sure who did this, despite what everyone’s saying. I’m angry with whoever has done it. My identity should be a bit more sacrosanct than that,” he said.

For now, Mildiner said, he was focusing on getting rest, and would be giving media interviews a break. He asked that his photograph not be published.

All of the British and Irish passports allegedly used by the hit squad were forged, the UK and Ireland announced on Tuesday. Germany said it did not recognize the passport number used by one of the suspects.

The London-based Times newspaper said on Tuesday that UK authorities have launched an investigation to determine whether the identities of any Britons had been “stolen” by the hit squad.

According to the Times, one the people named by Dubai Police as a suspected assassin, Stephen Daniel Hodes, shares a name with a “real” Briton. The man’s mother, who lives in Manchester, “is in a complete tizz,” the newspaper quoted her colleague as saying.

“Thankfully there was the picture which is not her son. Whether someone has stolen identity or whether there are two Stephen Daniel Hodes I don’t know. She called in the office in a complete panic,” the woman’s colleague said.

Also on Tuesday, Ireland said three Irish passport holders identified by Dubai Police as being members of the alleged assassination team were not Irish citizens.

In a video made two weeks before his death, and broadcast on Al-Jazeera earlier this month,Mabhouh said he kidnapped and murdered two IDF soldiers, Ilan Saadon and Avi Sasportas, in 1989. Mabhouh said he disguised himself as an Orthodox Jew during the terrorist attack. Israeli defense officials said Mabhouh was tasked with smuggling long-distance Iranian rockets into Gaza.

Dubai Police have not discussed the purpose of Mabhouh’s visit to the Gulf state.
